New Playlist

After making the love songs playlist this month, I decided to go ahead and do a new playlist every month. Playlist with themes. So for February it was love songs, and March will be Irish drinking songs, for St. Patrick's Day. A lot of you may not give a crap or enjoy the same music as I do, but that's okay. It's my blog and I like it and what I say goes, right? Right. So March is just two days away and so enjoy my Irish playlist for a month, mmkay?

::Drool:::

I don't really post about fashion on this blog. Main reason is because I'm poor and can't afford to shop. I know, it's so sad. Last clothes I got were hand-me-downs from a friend. ::tear:: And I don't really like to look online just to look either because it makes me even more sad that I can't buy things. However, I got that friendly little email from Alloy like I always do, and couldn't help but open it, just to take a peak.

I clicked on shoes, and I'm currently sitting here drooling over these...

Now, I'm not a fan of the gladiator look. I know it's really trendy right now, but I really dislike it. I feel like it looks like Jesus's sandles. But I saw these and I'm loving them!

Then I decided to mosey on down to Forever 21's website to torture myself even more. I love their "Shop By Outfit" section. It's fun to see outfits put together... here are some of the looks I'm loving

So I'm too fat to wear this, but if I was skinny I would totally rock this for a girls night out or Vegas or something.

This is just too cute

I would totally rock this shirt. Probably with some skinny jeans instead of that little skirt. I still like the 80's look.

I really want to buy them all, but I won't. Instead I'll just dream about them. Pity Party for one please! :(

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUBBERS!!

Happy birthday to Gizmo

Happy birthday to Gizmo

Happy birthday dear Bubbers

Happy birthday to GIZMO!!

Today is Gizzy's 3rd birthday. I can't believe my baby boy is already three! That's what, 21 in dog years? So technically he's of the legal drinking age? haha!

Unfortunately, I don't really have too many pictures of baby Gizzy because I didn't have a camera at that time. It really sucks because he was the cutest puppy ever, he really was. He was just this little teeny tiny ball of fur. He looked just like a gremlin, hence why we named him Gizmo.

After his first haircut

Gizzy has a TON of personality. He's stubborn, loving, lazy but fun and adventurous at the same time. Gizmo loves to go hiking, car rides, camping, and most of all, SWIMMING! He swims like a fish, actually more like a beaver because that's exactly what he looks like. haha. He will go back and forth fetching his ball. Or he'll jump onto the raft with me and sunbathe. I really think that he believes he is a little human boy, not a dog. When we go to the dog park, I'll loose him... I'll be looking around for him forever, then look up and see him just chilling on the bench with someone. He's so funny. He goes everywhere with us. We even brought him on our honeymoon. What's a vacation without Gizzy?

Today I'm going to spoil him rotten! Well, more than I usually do, anyway. He's spoiled as it is. I just can't help it when I see this face...

Okay, okay. Two more. We included him in our engagement pictures. He was being so good like usual, that is until he saw the fountain and decided that it looked way more fun than taking pictures... As soon as we took him off the leash for a few more photos, he made a run for it, and jumped right into the fountain! It was pretty funny.

Coming Soon...

I'll be back in action real soon. Not that I haven't posted at all, but I have a lot of house stuff to share. We've done quite a bit of D&R stuff around the house lately, and I'm dying to get pictures. But remember how I said my camera is broken? Well, I finally took it to see the Geek Squad at Best Buy and it is actually still under warranty! They have it now and will either fix it or replace it. We'll see... So stay tuned cause I have lots of stuff to share soon.

we've...

- almost finished the laundry room. It looks so good! I just need to get that other stripe painted.
- hung plants on the front porch
- we removed the big ugly basketball hoop
- this weekend i'm re-doing my master bedroom. The hubs will be out of town having fun at the dunes, so I figured I'll re-do that horrible fail of a room that was totally my fault. I Found an awesome chocolate brown and green damask comfortor for SUPER cheap at Big Lots today, and decided to play it safe with Behr's Classic Taupe on the walls. I think it will be a BIG improvement. I was going to surprise the hubs, but then I remembered I need someone to move the furniture... oops.

Here's that big fat FAIL. Too bright. Horrible color. Just didn't turn out as I saw it in my head:

WOW.

I can't wait to share it all with you...

Lily Update

Lily Monster AKA, Lilian, AKA Lily Long Legs has grown so much! I haven't weighed her lately, but I'm thinking she's between 10-12lbs now. She's about 6 months old. She's a fast learner. Both in a good and a bad way. Good: She's completely potty trained (she has been for months. It really didn't take her long at all), crate trained, She's learned to let mommy sleep and be still until it's time to wake up. Yes she sleeps in bed with us. They both do, so sue me. She sleeps under the covers, curled up next to our legs.
Bad: She's learned that she can reach the top of the coffee table. We had these cork coasters and she ate all 4 of them. One by one. Chewed into a million little peices. One day I was eating a sandwich. I set it down on the coffee table, went to the kitchen to get a drink, I look up. What do I see? Lily running out the back door with my sandwich! She likes to take things out to the backyard. That's her spot. I find shoes, clothing, all her toys, etc back there. Let's see... oh. her new thing is that she's learned she can jump off the bed. So now at 8 o'clock in the morning she jumps right out of bed. Then I have to get up and let her out, and make sure she doesn't ruin anything because I don't trust her. Grrr. I thought we just learned how to let mommy sleep?
Yesterday the hubs came home to a wrecked bathroom. Apparently she broke out of her cage(crate) like a wild animal! He said that she had jumped up and tore the towels down, peed on them, peed on Gizmo's bed, spilt the water bowel, and tore the toilet paper to shreds. Nice. I laughed. I wish he would've gotten a picture. I think she planned this. Because she had chewed the clips to her crate. You know, the parts that hold the top and the bottom of the crate together? Yeah... And then she was able to bust out and go wild. Lily Gone Wild.

Anyway, my camera is still broken but here is a horrible camera phone picture to show how much she's grown.

Here they are on a walk last week. She's a little taller than Giz now.

And this is her about a week after we first got her. This was the first time Gizmo wanted anything to do with her.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Well our Valentine's Day has been fun so far. We woke up early and drove all the way to BFE to our accountant's house to do our taxes. We owe. But thanks to the first time homebuyers tax credit that we took, it came out of that, so we don't actually have to come up with it out of pocket, plus we still get some back to remodel the kitchen and put into savings.

Anywho, after seeing our tax dude, we grabbed lunch and picked up the dogs. Then we took them to the dog park. That was fun. Lily made a friend with a little puppy Westie. They were so cute.

Now the hubs and the dogs are napping. We're going to do the movie and dinner thing tonight. Nothing too exciting. No gifts here either. Valentine's Day isn't a big holiday in our house.

But I do want to share some of my favorite love songs with you all. I've added it there to the side. Enjoy!

Love,

Free Music!

So I was reading through my Spin Magazine yesterday (Lily Allen is on the cover. LOVE her), and I came across this little insert for free 25 songs. You can get them at www.emusic.com/spin. Check it out! You do have to sign up with your credit card, but it's a free 7 day trial and you can download 25 songs for FREE! Can't beat free! Just make sure you cancel it before that trial is up or you will be paying at least $11.99/month. Which isn't bad, for 30 songs per month, but hey, I'd rather not have another bill, right? Oh and you can download the songs right to your iTunes or whatever other MP3 system you have. Awesome!

I'll let you know what I downloaded in a bit.

I have to share this recipe

Lowfat Cheeseburger Pie

Ingredients

1lb extra lean ground turkey
1 cup Nonfat Cottage Cheese
1 Egg
1/2 Cup Chopped Onion
1 Clove Garlic (chopped)
3/4 Cup Kraft 2% Shredded Cheddar Cheese
2 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
1/4 cup water
3/4 cup of Heart Smart Bisquick (mix only)
4 Slices of Tomato

Directions

Preheat oven to 350
Brown Turkey Onion & Garlic in a pan
While turkey is browning mix Bisquick and water to form a dough. (add water gradually as needed for dough)Roll dough flat enough to cover a pie pan with rolling pin. (may have extra dough).
Place dough in pie pan
Mix Worcestershire Sauce in with turkey mixture
In a separate bowl, mix cottage cheese with egg
Pour turkey mixture into pie pan
Pour Cottage Cheese mixture over turkey
Top with Shredded Cheddar Cheese
Then place Tomato Slices on top and bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes.

SUBSITUTED:
- I bought reduced fat cresent rolls instead of making my own dough. That's just too time consuming, and I'm not much of a dough maker. I think I would like this better, because the crust was more flakey. I think with that dough it'd be more buiscit like texture.
- sliced tomato for canned diced tomatoes. No other reason, than that's what I had on hand.

OMITTED: Onion. Thought I'd be nice to the hubs, since he hates onions with a passion.

This was VERY delicious and is now a favorite in our household. Easy, tasty, and pretty cheap to make! The hubs liked it too!
