Saturday Fun!

We've been watching way too much TV around here lately. I realized it was bad when she woke up at 2AM the other night (thank you molars), we're cuddling, talking and practicing names. Then I said the D word - that's Dora. Oh boy. BIG mistake. She was like "Doda? Doda! DODA!" while pointing at the TV. Oy.

She doesn't want to play with the bazillion toys she has that have taken over my living room. We've read all of her books at least 10 times now, and Mommy's done reading for at least a couple hours. So while she was napping I left her home with Daddy, dropped Gizmo off at the groomer and headed out to Michaels and Walmart for some Toddler activities. First we played in the water. I've been looking for one of these that didn't cost an arm and a leg for a few weeks. Thank you Wallyword, yay! $29 for this awesome Step 2 Water Table ! It was EXACTLY what I was looking for.

So I put her in her bathing suit and we went out back and played in the water.

We also turned the sprinklers on and let Lily run around in the sprinklers, which Cailin found hilarious.

After we were done with that, we played in some homemade "moon sand"/cloud dough (yay Pinterest!). I think I had more fun playing with this than she did.

I also bought some of those poofy ball things. I have no clue what they're actually called. Toddler sensory fun!

My Little Lady

Can someone please explain to me HOW HAS SHE GOTTEN SO BIG?! Where has the time gone? Really. She went from this:

Coming home from the hospital

To this:

Literally over night! She is seriously turning into such a little girl. She's getting so "skinny" and losing all of her baby fat. She's learning something new every.single.day. This week, she started putting words together people! I asked her if she loves her baby. She responded with "yeah I love my baby." HUH?! Then the next day she said it again, and as I was buckling her into her carseat she was holding her baby and also said, "baby go bye-bye." WHAT?! oh and the next day on the way home (yeah we're in the car a lot), she was eating what was left of her Goldfish crackers. All of a sudden I hear her say, "all gone!" I looked back at her and she was holding up her empty cup saying "all gone." What the heck.

Although I do love watching her learn and grow, I miss my chunky rolly baby. I think it really hit me when I was looking at pictures in husband's phone this weekend. I seriously miss those rolls. It almost makes me want to have another baby... almost.

I miss those hamhocks.
