The Hubs Won a Super Bowl Party!

My husband is bad ASS! He won a Super Bowl party through a local country station, KNIX!

This is how he won it:

Yes, ladies and gentleman. He made that sign! Drew the birds and everything. He's awesome!

Then his co-worker entered them into a contest on the radio station, and they won! Now, I couldn't care less about football or the Super Bowl, but now I want to go. Too bad I have to work. :(

Technical Difficulties

First off, I've been sick. Feels like I've been sick for two months straight. The week before Christmas I got a horrible stomach flu. Then the week of New Years I got a mild cold, then last week I was out all week with an Upper Respitory Infection. I ended up going to the Doctor last week and they prescribed me a Z-Pak, and now I seem to be getting better.

Secondly, my camera is messed up. Grrrr! It was in my purse and when I took it out I noticed it was recording a video (it had turned on and hit the record button) and without thinking i just turned it off. Well, now it won't come back on. When I turn it on, a red screen pops up for just a second and says "Please reset your camera". I don't know how the hell to reset it! This morning I decided to bust out my manual, but it didn't say anything about resetting it, so I called the technical support number which was a waste of my time. They basically told me that they were going to send me a new camera, but it's out of warranty, so I can purchase one for 50% off. I told him no thanks. If I have to purchase a camera, I'm going to get one I like. I hope I don't need to purchase a new one. For the love of God! If it took a complete crap, looks like I'm going to be cameraless for a while. Ugh!! I'm going to take it into Best Buy (where we purchased it) and have their "Geek Squad" take a look at it. Cross your fingers for me!

Not much besides that has been going on. We have been doing some D&R things around the house, but of course i don't have any pictures of that. :( We're working on the laundry room. We have the wainscotting and trim all up, stripes halfway painted. We need to paint the trim/wainscotting and the cabinets that are in there. Hopefully we can finish that this weekend.

I hung some plants on the front porch and they look really cute.

Other than that, it's been really boring. I've just been sick, and dealing with the camera crap.

Hopefully the camera can be saved, and we'll be back in action soon!

Can someone please tell my husband

That white cabinets are indeed fabulous?!

We've been arguing about our kitchen (when we finally get to remodel it. Not anytime soon, but we've still been discussing it). I want white cabinets, he says no. I say, "it's my kitchen and 'my domain' like you say, so you will give me the kitchen I want!" He says, "oh I'll give you a nice kitchen, just not one with white cabinets."

I don't know what he has against them, but I love them and I WILL win this one! bwahahaha After all, it is fair. He won the game room.

Holiday Round Up Part II

The best part about this holiday season was that my sister-in-law and nieces came home for Xmas! They moved out of town about 3 years ago and we don't get to see them much, so it was great being able to spend time with them. Now if only we could get them to move back... Ahem... ;P

Christmas week started off by baking Xmas cookies with SIL and the kids. They came over before I had to go to work. It was a great time.

My cookies. My Santa and Rudolph were pretty awesome, but my snowman came out looking more like the aboninabal(sp?) snowman rather than Frosty...

I cut my niece's hair. Here she is showing off her new hair cut!
>

Christmas started at MIL's house in the morning. Then after that we made our rounds to my parents' houses. There was some drama with my mom and sisters like usual, but thankfully we survived. We had ham and the Christmas dinner at my mom's and then went to my dad's. The hubs's watched Hellboy 2 with my dad, while my little sis, me, brother and his wife played Guitar Hero. And that was basically our day. Christmas was great!

The baby's gift from us was this pretty little dress.

We got her a dress up set. She put on the little heals and tripped over her nightgown. it was so cute/funny!

Christmas Eve was at Judy's as usual. And was a great time. We'll just say that my husband is a bad influence and gets people way too drunk. :/

Awww!

SO cute!

Holiday Round Up Part I

Hello! Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I can't believe how fast 2008 went by.

My holidays were awesome! We got a lot of great stuff for Christmas. Thank you to everyone. Here's a rundown of what we got, if anyone cares.

*From my SIL and the nieces: a super cute Cookie Lee necklace and some homemade ornaments from the girls.

* From MIL: A Shark Steam Mop! Awesome! Cute sweater, gift cards and lots of awesome things in our stockings like usual. Also she got the kids, I mean dogs, some stuff too! She got Lily some shirts and both of them some chew toys.

*From FIL: Home Depot & Olive Garden Gift Cards

*From Judy (family friend): Gift cards, got the dogs a toy, some kitchen towels that we needed badly, and a magic bullet blender thingy.

*From my Dad: Gift cards are the name of the game here people! It's what we asked for. My dad got us Home Depot gift cards plus some movie tickets.

*From my brother: Forever 21 GC!

*From my Mom: a movie gift basket. Stocked with A Christmas Story popcorn tin, candy, Blockbuster GC, etc.

*From Hubs: MAC holiday Red She Said eyeshadow palette see my makeup blog for details on that! And also the holiday brush set.

*From me to the hubs: Since I'm broke and can't afford to get him what he really wants (which is a longboard skateboard), I found a skateboard shelf from this Etsy seller. We ended up putting it in the office underneath a picture of his deceased best friend Kenny. Kenny was an awesome skateboarder, and was even sponsered by Cowtown at one point. The picture we have blown up of him is a picture of him skateboarding.

Again, thank you to everyone for the wonderful Christmas, and wonderful gifts.

We used our Chase GC's to buy some stuff to finally put on our bare walls! We went to one of our favorite home shopping stores, Homes Goods where we bought our wall art. We purchased some canvas art and a litle wooden sign that says the ever so popular "Live, Laugh, Love" on it from Home Goods. Then We purchased a set of 3 smalls shelves and some candles at Target. Doesn't it look so much better with stuff on the walls?

With our Home Depot GC's, we purchased the supplies needed to renovate our laundry room! We're currently working on that, so pics to come when we finish. We're going for a light fresh kitchy feeling. We painted stripes on the walls with a grey/blue color, and we're adding wainscotting, new trim, and I'll be taking my first stab and painting the gawd awfully ugly cabinets (that match my gawd awfully ugly kitchen cabnits and my gawd awfully ugly master bathroom and vanity cabinets) white.

Photo Fun!

Here are the directions:

1) Choose the 4th folder where you store your pictures on your computer

2) Select the 4th picture in the folder

3) Explain the picture

4) Tag 4 people to do the same. NO CHEATING! (cropping, editing, etc!)

well crap, this isn't the best picture... Anyway, to make a long story short, this was the fridge at the hotel where we stayed for my bachelorette party. This was just a little bit of the alcohol we had. It was a crazy night to say the least.

And I tag ANYONE who wants to do this! Go go go!
