We've been watching way too much TV around here lately. I realized it was bad when she woke up at 2AM the other night (thank you molars), we're cuddling, talking and practicing names. Then I said the D word - that's Dora. Oh boy. BIG mistake. She was like "Doda? Doda! DODA!" while pointing at the TV. Oy.
She doesn't want to play with the bazillion toys she has that have taken over my living room. We've read all of her books at least 10 times now, and Mommy's done reading for at least a couple hours. So while she was napping I left her home with Daddy, dropped Gizmo off at the groomer and headed out to Michaels and Walmart for some Toddler activities. First we played in the water. I've been looking for one of these that didn't cost an arm and a leg for a few weeks. Thank you Wallyword, yay! $29 for this awesome
Step 2 Water Table ! It was EXACTLY what I was looking for.
So I put her in her bathing suit and we went out back and played in the water.
We also turned the sprinklers on and let Lily run around in the sprinklers, which Cailin found hilarious.
After we were done with that, we played in some homemade "moon sand"/cloud dough (yay
Pinterest!). I think I had more fun playing with this than she did.
I also bought some of those poofy ball things. I have no clue what they're actually called. Toddler sensory fun!
